Deborah and I had breakfast in the room then headed off in our Jeep to explore the west coast between Los Angeles and San Francisco. We drove about 250 miles to San Simeon and stayed by the waterfront. We followed the GPS which took us inland and not totally along the coast.
Because of this we saw the Bradbury Dam at Lake Cachuma which was a comfort stop for us along the way. The landscape is just so harsh and rocky, California is currently in a drought of several years and the dryness is so evident in the nature that surrounded us. The Dam was so low, and the residents are all on restrictions etc.

The local wildlife.
The wonderful Jeep that provided such a lovely journey for our explorations.
We had dinner at the hotel that night and Deborah went for a swim in the pool, I was not feeling great so I watched from the pool chair.
